What a fun day!!!!!

We had the first ever Pinkle Toes Cupcake Academy today and let me tell you, we had a blast! What a great group of people and it was so impressive how quickly everyone picked up those sweet photography tricks. Thank you all so much for being the cupcake guinea pigs, your patience, your laughter, your questions, and your willingness to learn.

If you missed this one, details on the next Cupcake Academy are HERE. Two things: 1) I'm probably going to make it longer, but I have to confirm with Baby Coco first and 2) this particular workshop will be only open to people who have not had a Pinkle Toes photo session.

These are a few of my pics from the day (and to everyone who came today, please feel free to post links to your pics here as well--we're all dying to see what you came up with).
I make my students study hard. ;-)

Experimenting with light.

Oh, you *know* we had to have cupcakes, of course.

My sincerest apologies for not having enough time, though. Here I was wondering how I was going to fill an hour and a half with material--silly me! I should know better when it comes to talking about photography! (J and L - so sorry you guys had to miss out on the paparazzi after class, but practice what we talked about and I'd be happy to offer more tips if you want it.)

Thanks for such a great class. I loved every minute of it. For my little point and shoot I thought I got some really good shots. The main thing I will remember is to take tons and tons of pictures, delete the bad and show off the good. :) Deleting has become my friend. Yesterday after the class I took about 100 pictures and only uploaded 20, that has never happened to me before. Maria now calls me the Delete Nazi. I can't thank you enough for the class. If there ever is a round 2 course let me know, I will be the first to sign up. Thank you thank you thank you! P.S. The cupcakes were phenomenal. I had to restrain myself to eat just one! Yum :)

Michele-

I feel so honored to be a Cupcake Academy Graduate! Your class was fabulous and so much fun! The three of us gabbed the whole way home about how cool it was. You have unleashed three picture taking mama beasts :) I was even inspired to start a blog for the family - what a great idea and I will send you a link in the next day or two. The "in the field" picture taking part with you mentoring us was awesome and I thought the exercise on "finding the light" was great. Such small things make such a big difference. Can't wait for Easter now to try your tips. Thanks for everything and for opening your super cool casa to us.

I AM SOOOO JEALOUS! We thought we were going to be out of town, so I ended up not signing up for the Academy. The next time you do one for existing clients, I am SO THERE! Looks like so much fun, I am sad to have missed it. Keep me posted on future Cupcake Academy classes!
