We're back from the Ranch (www.whoopandholler.com), but my goodness, I'm in a fog! We had such a wonderful time and it was so relaxing to get away from computers and phones and everyday life and just be with my family and friends. It also gave me a chance to step back and look at my photography again...to re-examine what I want and to focus on the kind of stories I want to tell with my images. I think you're going to see some changes in my work. In my heart, I know they are changes for the better.

Getaway

I'm so excited. We're all getting ready to head out to my husband's parent's ranch www.whoopandholler.com for a weekend getaway. Long overdue for a vacation...especially since I've been working double time to get all my Pinkle Toes in a row so that I can leave. Lots of deliveries to make, too. I LOVE making deliveries. Something about seeing the finished product in the hands of it's rightful owner is so satisfying. Happy Memorial Day to you all!

Summer is upon us...

From now until September, all sessions must be IN a swimming pool and followed by lots and lots of cold, juicy watermelon. No exceptions. ;-) Thank you for your cooperation. -Mgmt.

Had a fun and energetic session with a family of NINE today! The park we were in was so beautiful and the connection among all the brothers, sisters, mothers, husbands, daughters, etc. just beamed on camera.

Meet my mom

Thought I'd get this in early since I'll actually be spending Mother's Day with her. This is my mom and sis goofing around a few weeks back and I think they're both beautiful. My mother is strong, intelligent, kind, loving, and is the most incredible grandmother I've ever known. I'm so thankful to have her. I'm even more thankful that my sons have her.

Thanks, you two, for a fun weekend and a surprisingly quick and relaxing, session. You'll be happy to know that all traces of cactus have been removed from my body, but I'll be sending a bill for the anti-chigger cream. Gotta love Texas!
